Limits of telehealth

Being honest about what we can and cannot do is part of VidaMente's clinical ethics.

Telehealth can do

General medicine consultations for mild to moderate symptoms
Control of stable chronic diseases (HTA, diabetes, dislipidemia)
Clinical guidance and documents when appropriate
Rest certificate according to clinical criteria
Psychology sessions and psychotherapy
Orientation, referral, and follow-up
Medical certificates and referral letters

It is not suitable for

Life-threatening emergencies — call SAMU 131
Oppressive chest pain or severe breathing difficulty
Loss of consciousness, seizures, or stroke
Severe wounds, bleeding, or severe physical trauma
Acute psychiatric crisis with immediate risk
Diagnosis requiring a face-to-face physical exam
Procedures or surgeries
